University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey
UMDNJ magazine
The premiere issue for the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) — a twice-yearly, 64-page oversized publication highlighting research and medical breakthroughs
As the largest academic health center in the nation, UMDNJ was a crucible of scientific innovation and was positioned to be the foundation of the biomedical science sector — so critical to the future of New Jersey.
This non-traditional design strikes a balance between classic and high-tech, incorporating large, dramatic, colorful photography, as well as full-page illustrations.

Baby Boomer’s Burning Questions
The media has celebrated — or at least noted — the aging of the baby boomers generation, with the likes of Bill Clinton, George and Laura Bush and Donald Trump all passing the 70 mark. They have plenty of company. In this issue, UMDNJ experts address the health issues topping the list for this generation.

Taking Bold Steps
This issue focuses on three of the biggest health challenges — Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism and the outbreak of MRSA (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus).

The Innovation University
Innovation is at the very core of research. In Laboratories at UMDNJ, scientists are working to preserve fertility in cancer patients, fight depression, treat rare disorders and minimize the ravages of arthritis. They are finding new ways to reduce mortality from such threats as heart disease, cancer, infectious diseases and diseases of childhood and the aging population. UMDNJ researchers contribute to the impact that the life sciences have on public health.
